Complete basic checks a week before departure

Confirm lighting and visibility

Test low and high beams, indicators, brake lights, and fog lamps. Clean the windshield and replace wiper blades that chatter or leave streaks.

Pack emergency supplies

Carry a warning triangle, reflective vest, inflator, basic tools, drinking water, and charging equipment. Download offline maps and share the route with family.
